A Year of Finishes

Today I finished a book, a block and a top. Maybe that's a sign I'll get some things accomplished this year.

The book: "What Alice Forgot" by Liane Moriarty.

The block: No. 40 of the 1718 Coverlet.

The top: Pumpkin Peel from "Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts" by Mary Elizabeth Kinch and Biz Storms.

I love both your block and your top, Ann Marie. The block for its simplicity, the top for it's curves and bright colors. Some day maybe I'll try such a difficult pattern as your top has.

How did you like the book? I see that on GoodReads people seem to either love it or really dislike it. Lots of 5 stars, lots of 1 or 2 stars.

Thanks for sharing your finishes today. I think that's a great way to start a new year. Happy New Year to you.

Love the 1718 block in grunge fabrics! I have always liked this fabric line for adding a vintage look.
